The Third floor included the Rare Book Room, the California Room, the Ephemera Room, the Binding Room, the Printing Room, and the offices.
During the Depression of 1929, HCH rented out the 3rd floor and was able to cotinue the business even through those few tough years.
On the third floor outside the California Room and Rare Book Room, the shelves of books contained such categories as listed here.
